Switzerland: The world has become multipolar, and sanctions against Russia have not reaped their fruits

A report issued by the Swiss Federal Council explained that the world has become multipolar, and that isolating Russia has not reaped its fruits on a global scale, due to the failure of many countries to implement sanctions against it.

The report pointed out that 9 countries of the G-20 members did not abide by the sanctions resolution, and that many African countries, the Middle East and Asia do not want to take a position in favor of one pole at the expense of the other, and are committed to neutrality to save face when the battle is over.

The report noted that the energy and food crisis resulting from the conflict in Ukraine led to a clear change in the existing regional equations, and created new consequences and alliances that formed a multipolar world.

The report stressed that although Europe is the most committed country to implementing sanctions, some European countries refuse to comply, and others evade full compliance.

It is noteworthy that President Vladimir Putin noted earlier that the policies of the West aimed at weakening Russia, will have adverse and dangerous consequences for the entire global economy.
